This is Now A Do-Follow Blog

Welcome back!

I’m testing something new out, to help encourage participation on my blog posts. This blog is now a do-follow blog.

I blogged the other day about what it means to be a do-follow blog.

Basically if you leave a comment on the blog, linking to your website or blog, it will count as a backlink to the search engines. I have a Google pagerank of 2 on this blog, so it will be a decent backlink to have.

This is not a free for all. Please, do not abuse this privilege. I will be on the lookout for blatant spammers. The goal is to encourage participation.

Also, it would be nice if readers would return the link love and link back to my blog from theirs.

    Good to hear. I think more blogs should go Dofollow. However, beware of unscrupulous link hounds who are only looking to promote their commercial sites. You have one of these posting above and will probably never heard from them again. In fact a lot of people outsource dofollow blog commenting to India. It just makes a mess and makes me think less of the blog.

    I would advise to take action now and avoid the barrage of spam comments from insurance companies, penis enlargement and breast augmentation sites.

    Also, if you want to get more readers try removing the required registration to comment. This is the first blog I have ever bothered to do that on. Usually is an instant turn off.

    This is my 2nd comment here and my curiosity to read good blogs urge me to post another comment. I hope that you will not mind it. I want to know your reviews on do follow plugins. I have “no follow free” on my own blog but I came to know about “do follow” plugin. I think both of the do the same job but what should be our preferences.
